Andrea Phillips

Andrea Phillips has extensive teaching experience in both English and Spanish. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish with a minor in Applied Linguistics from Georgia State University. Andrea also has a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification. Her qualifications along with her warm and outgoing personality make her a tremendous asset to the Atlanta Trilingual Academy family. Andrea serves as our lead English teacher for elementary age students, Originally from Michigan, she now resides in Mableton, GA with her husband and two daughters.


Jun Zhou

Jun Zhou leads our toddler Chinese program. Jun is from an area of China called Wu Hai, Hubei. She attended Jiang Hai University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Jun has over 15 years of experience teaching. During her years of teaching she has accumulated an extensive amount of additional training and certification.


Andrea Llerena

Andrea Llerena is Atlanta Trilingual Academy's 1st & 2nd Grade Spanish teacher. Andrea is a proud native of Lima, Peru. She is a graduate of San Martin International University in Lima, Peru, where she obtained a degree in Computer Systems Engineering. She began teaching 13 years ago when she taught computer and Spanish classes to adults. She has since gained extensive experience teaching students Preschool age through adult in Spanish. She has a strong passion for education. She has three children who have excelled on the highest levels in their academic careers.



Wenyan Chen

Wenyan Chen is our lead Pre-K Chinese Teacher. While teaching in China, Wenyan was awarded first prize as a teaching expert in China's Wuchang district. She also Won first prize in a Wuhan City teaching competition. She earned her  Bachelors degree from Wuhan University in the Hubei province of China and completed her teacher trainining at Jianghan University. She has 10 years of early childhood teaching experience. Her warm and nurturing spirit fosters a love for learning the Chinese language and culture in all of our pre-K students.

Yanmin Wang

Yanmin Wang is a Chinese teacher who works with our toddlers. She graduated from YanBian University in China with a degree in Chinese language and literature. She began teaching at AiXinYuan orphanage in China and has continued sharing her passion for teaching with children both in China and the United States. She brings a breadth of experience to our teaching staff and has worked with children from age 1 - 8, and also taught adult classes as well. Her warm and caring spirit fosters a true love for the Chinese language and culture with each of our youngest learners.


Maritza Alba

Maritza Alba is our lead Spanish teacher for our toddler class. She brings a breadth of experience to our teaching team and has worked in early childhood and elementary education for over 10 years. She attended Instituto Superior Pedagogico in her native Cuba where she earned her degree in Early Childhood Education. She has a warm and loving spirit and makes sure our youngest students have a nurturing and care-taker as they enter our program. They quickly fall in love with Spanish through songs, games & creative movement. An avid story teller, Maritza also ensures each child's Spanish vocabulary grows each and everyday as they absorb more and more language during Spanish story time.

Huan Liu

Huan Liu is one of our Chinese teachers who works with our Pre-K through 4th grade students. She earned her Bachelors from Xi’an International Studies University in Xi'an, China and recently completed her Masters in Education from the University of Georgia graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA. She has taught both English and Mandarin to students of all ages both in the United States and China.


Alma Olmedo

Alma Olmedo is one of Atlanta Trilingual Academy's most versatile and effective instructors. She works with our Pre-K students as a Spanish teacher. She also serves as our Kindergarten level reading(English) and math teacher. Our parents love the fantastic job she does as a tremendously skillful reading teacher. She takes the time to observe and monitor each child's progress and identifies and addresses the varying needs of each individual student. She brings creativity, passion and tremendous professionalism to our team of teachers. 


Guadalupe Benitez

Guadalupe is another of ATA's very versatile and effective instructors. She works with our Pre-K3 students in Spanish while also assisting in reading and math instruction for our elementary age children. Guadalupe is a very gifted young woman who graduated high school at age 15 and shares her love for learning with our pupils daily. She has a warm and caring spirit and brings a smile to the face of all she encounters young and old alike. 

Elizabeth Vilchis

Elizabeth is a native of Mexico and has been with ATA for two years. She now serves as an assistant toddler teacher working with our 1 and 2 year old students. She shares her love of Mexican culture, music, and games with our  youngest learners each and everyday. Her kind and gentle spirit cultivate the welcoming environment necessary to foster a love for Spanish with our newest students. 


Laura Gamez

Laura is originally from Mexico and works with our very youngest students. She cares for each of our toddlers as if they were her own and has a close bond with each child in her class. She eases the transition for many of our parents through the connection she builds with each of our toddlers. Children recognize her genuine spirit and she introduces them not only to the Spanish language but the culture as well. 


Araceli Hernandez

Araceli Hernandez is a bilingual Spanish teacher who works with our Pre-K through 1st grade students. She is a native of Mexico and brings over 10 years of experience here in Georgia teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten. She is a graduate of Universidad Justo Sierra in Acapulco, Mexico where she earned her Bachelors in elementary education. She has a warm spirit and is a tremendously effective instructor.
